AFTER JULES VERNE

The last class at the French School Jules Verne is the CM2 class, at the end of elementary school. Where to continue your education? There are several options available to families.

The French School Jules Verne has signed a partnership agreement with the European School of HelsinkiThis agreement allows students graduating from CM2 to join the French section without taking an entrance test. They continue their education in S1, the first class of the lower Secondary school.

The French School Jules Verne also has a partnership agreement with the French-Finnish School of Helsinki. This agreement allows a few Finnish-speaking students to continue their education in class 5 without taking an entrance test.

Pupils who are native Finnish speakers or with a very good level of Finnish language can continue their education in their neighbourhood school. At this age, the differences between the French and the Finnish school systems are quite small and the transition is easier.

The network of the AEFE (Agency for French Education Abroad) is a good choice for expat families : the network includes more than 500 French schools around the world and offers the opportunity to continue one’s studies in the same educational system.
