LUNCH

A common lunch break that is part of education. Bon appétit!

The Jules Verne School offers children the possibility to have lunch in the canteen. It is not an obligation.

A long lunch break is a French specificity. Children have time to eat without hurrying. The older ones have a recess after lunch. The little ones go for the afternoon nap. The long lunch break also allows teachers to have a restful lunch, take a break and work quietly. For this reason, other staff members take care of the children at lunchtime.

Lunch is subject to a fee (€ 7.80/day). The price is composed of the cost of the meal (Sodexo) and the salaries of the supervisory staff. In case of a planned absence, parents are asked to notify the school 7 days in advance so that meals can be cancelled and not charged.

For weekly menus see the French page.
