Listening to music in Cycle 3

Students work on different music fields: singing, sound creation and listening to music.

We listened to “the Nutcracker” a lot in the beginning of the year so that we could make the most of the ballet.

You will find below a song listened in class and that students really liked. Two of them made a short introduction about it:

Le Duo des chats

The composer who created “le duo des chats” is Rossini.

It is a story about two cats that are talking to each other.

At first, you might think it is an opera but actually you notice that lyrics are mewing.

This oeuvre can be sang on different tones of voice according to feelings: argument, dating…
